Keep all your bookings and availability up to date and avoid double bookings! You can now sync your Eventective calendar with your personal or business calendars like Google, Outlook, Apple, and more, so you can see all your events, bookings, and appointments in one place.
Please note:
This feature is currently in beta and only available to subscribers. Contact your account manager if you'd like to try it out!
The calendar integration is read-only. This means you can view your external calendar events in Eventective, but you cannot edit them there. Additionally, your Eventective events can appear in your external calendar, but you cannot edit them there. Any changes, edits, or updates must take place in the calendar where the event or appointment originated.
To block off days on your planner-facing availability calendar on your Eventective profile, continue marking them as 'Not Available' in your Eventective account.
Depending on your setup and needs, you can connect your calendar using Connected Calendars (recommended) or a Calendar Link (iCal).
Which option is right for you?
| Feature | Connected Calendars (Google & Outlook only) | Calendar Link (iCal) |
| Best For | Google & Outlook users | Apple users, mobile apps, or other calendars |
| Sync Direction |
|
One-way only (Eventective events show on your calendar app) |
| Updates | Real-time updates | Updates periodically (depends on your calendar provider) |
Option 1: Connected Calendars (Google & Outlook)
Best for full visibility and two-way syncing. Google and Outlook users only.
Connecting your Google or Outlook account allows events from your external calendar to display on your Eventective calendar (and vice versa), keeping your schedules fully coordinated.
1. Navigate to Calendar Settings:
Log in to your Eventective account, select Settings, then External Calendar Sync.
2. Connect Your Account:
In the Connected Calendars section, sign in with either your Google or Outlook account.
3. Map Your Calendars:
Once connected, select the calendar you want to connect to Eventective.
4. Choose Sync Type:
Select how you want your data to sync:
- To Eventective: Events map from your Google or Outlook calendar to Eventective.
- From Eventective: Events map from your Eventective calendar to your Google or Outlook calendar.
- Bidirectional (Two-Way) Sync: Changes made on either calendar automatically appear in the other.
5. Set Your Sync Window:
Choose the timeframe of events you want to import or export (for example: 1 month in the past and 12 months into the future). Save your settings to finish.
Option 2: Calendar Link (iCal)
Best for one-way access on any calendar app.
Calendar feeds let you export your Eventective calendar to almost any calendar app using a subscription link (.ics file).
1. Locate Your iCal Feed Link:
Go to your Eventective Settings, click External Calendar Sync, then scroll to the Calendar Link (iCal) section.
2. Copy the Subscription Link:
Copy the .ics feed URL for your entire venue, or specific spaces, if applicable.
3. Add to Your Calendar App:
Open your preferred calendar app (e.g., Apple Calendar, mobile calendar, etc.) and select Add Calendar by URL or Subscribe to Calendar.
4. Paste and Save:
Paste the URL you copied from Eventective and confirm.
