To set up payment reminders or request payments manually, navigate to your Inbox, select an event request, and click on your ‘Payments’ tab. Payment details are created in the Agreement Builder and displayed in the Payments tab.
Stripe or Square Payments
If you are integrated with Stripe or Square, you can set up automated payment reminders.
You can schedule email payment reminders up to two weeks before the payment is due. To set up reminders, edit your payment, select your reminder preferences, then click ‘Update.’ Reminders link your clients directly to the payment platform of your choice.
This is an example of what your client will see when you request a payment:
Once your client makes a payment, they will receive a receipt, you will be notified, and the payment will be marked as 'Paid.'
Manual (Offline) Payments
If you are not connected to Stripe or Square, you can request payments manually and provide detailed payment instructions, such as those for Venmo, Zelle, or a check.
To request a payment, click ‘Request Payment.’ You will be asked to confirm your payment request. Once you click ‘Send,’ your client will receive an email with the payment instructions you provide.
When you receive your client's payment, you can mark the payment 'Paid' and send a payment receipt. To do so, edit the payment, mark it as 'Paid,' and check off 'Immediately send payment receipt.' Your client will be sent a receipt and the payment will be marked as 'Paid.'
Note: The standard processing fees for both Stripe and Square are 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. Eventective’s processing fee is 0.3% per transaction.
